Thanks to the generosity of Kirk HOLMAN and family, the Gallagher House now has a yard sign to identify our location. Given in memory of Kirk’s parents —     W. Byron & Merrell (Edwards) HOLMAN, the sign eliminates the dilemma  of where to turn off Route 88 when visiting the Society.

The sign is carved, sculpted, gold-gilded letters on an emerald-forest green background. It was handcrafted by Danthonia, an Australian firm recommended to us by Bruderhof Communities of Farmington, PA. Danthonia used a high-density American-made urethane which is waterproof, insect proof and fire    retardant. The sign was shipped free to the Society, and Stacy Skerbetz of DHR Enterprisers installed the sign and landscaped the Gallagher House gardens. The gardens consist of a variety of horticultural delights: boxwood, silver sword azaleas, button cornflowers, miniature hollyhocks, chrysanthemums, barberry bushes, hostas, corabelles, and sedum. We will enjoy the plantings for many years to come.
